These photos were taken last week, I'm really quite shocked at this! Look at these few people occupying the reserved priority seats. And no one even offered to give up their seats for him.These few middle aged passengers noticed the old aged man stand in front of them. But yet, they still pretended that they did not see him. And the situation continued like this for the whole journey for 20 minutes to an hour. I got really angry about this kind of behaviour. There were a few times, I saw that old aged man almost fell in the bus whenever the bus came to a stop. Next time I'll try my best to be brave and ask for a seat for those people who are in need.

I came across this Stomped photo on the forum Hardwarezone. The thread says that they found an ang mo pretending to sleep on the train and accused him of faking sleep to sit on the priority seat.

At 6.30pm, on Thursday, I was on the DTL going towards Chinatown, on board was a group of blue clad soldiers, obviously from Mindef at Hillview. They were all sitting in a row. At Beauty World Station, an old man of about 75yrs got up and was tottering about with a walking-stick umbrella looking for a seat.

I would like to relate to you about meeting this young boy on the MRT. On the 17th March 2016, during the last school holiday, I boarded the MRT at the Yishun MRT station at about 1 pm. In front of me was an old Chinese gentleman who walked with the aid of a walking stick.

Yesterday around 620pm, I boarded the crowded circle line train from Bishan heading towards serangoon station with my 3 year old girl who is petite and could pass off as a 2 year old. As the train was crowded, I decided not to carry her in arms so as to make more space for other commuters. I told my daughter to hold on to the railing tightly.

Since she's on the phone, I thought maybe she never notice him so let's give her the benefit of the doubt, (I mean sometimes when I'm deep in thoughts, I also cannot pay attention to my surroundings), so I tahan until she puts down her phone which is almost 10mins later at Yio Chu Kang. I gestured to the Uncle and asked if he's okay and wanted to sit, he just smile and shake his head (so poor thing cause he kept fidgeting and I know he PAISEH) I politely told A if she could give up her seat for Uncle and here comes the awesome bit..... "I PAY ADULT FARE WHY SHOULD I GIVE UP MY SEAT?!"

Recently, there's been some articles going round about the eons-old issue of pregnant women and priority seats. There were many comments like "how would i know if you are pregnant or just fat?", "Wear a t-shirt and print in big letters I AM PREGNANT", "Open your golden mouth and ask for seat la, why stomp?" "Need a seat so badly then take taxi la, don't take public transport", "you tired, i'm also tired", "i paid for my fare so i'm entitled to sit wherever i want" and so on and so forth, with some even going so far as to say pregnant women are just trying to gain sympathy for seats.

I am very agree to this writer who voice out we MRT commuters because I been in this situation before.I remember it was a peak hour morning when I was going to school.I was sitting on 'reserved seat'.When the train reached Jurong East Mrt station,the crowd swamp in.

I boarded the MRT train at Yishun. The moment I stepped into the train, a kind gentleman immediately gave up his priority seat for me. I thanked him and he acknowledged with a smile. I boarded the train from Chinatown. The same kind gesture happened.

This guy went in the LRT with me and then rushed over to the seat and make himself comfortable and then stare at me when i am standing in front of him with my BABY "even i carrying my baby" he just ignore me nvm but keep staring at me like in the pic! super mad n furious and i was about to tell him off. another couple opposite immediately gave up their seats to me. This is ugly singaporean! Share around i wanna tell him please don't be a selfish Man give those who needed it more. Be gracious. By the way its a priority seat you sitting on.
