ELD has yet another cock-up to answer for. A voter was unable to cast her vote as an eligible voter because the system apparently reflected that she has voted. This is a serious matter about the integrity of the electoral process.Read More »

GE2020: Parties Given Sufficient Time Before Parliament Dissolved?
In a sudden national broadcast, PM Lee Hsien Loong announced on 23 June 4pm that he had advised President Halimah Yacob to dissolve Parliament. He gave excuses why the GE2020 should be called before April 2021, citing reasons like Covid19 and the threat of external uncertainties. This paves way for Singapore to see GE2020 Polling Day to be on 10 July. Given how political parties and candidates only had 5 days between 18 June and 23 June when Parliament is dissolved, it seems the PAP thinks that having a preparation time of less than a week is "sufficient".Read More »
COMPLAINT SENT TO ELECTIONS DEPARTMENT ON PRO PAP FB PAGE FOR POST MADE ON POLLING DAY
It appears that a complain against the pro PAP Facebook page, Fabrications About The PAP, has been lodged with the Elections Department (ELD). Not because you are part of a political journey." The post was made on Polling Day. According to ELD, posting election advertising on Cooling-Off Day and Polling Day is prohibited, as this campaign silence period is meant to give voters time to reflect rationally on issues raised before going to the polls.Read More »

HDB WANTS TO INCREASE MY RENTAL BY 37% AFTER ELECTIONS END?
In a sign of skyrocketing costs of living and business after this upcoming polling day, HDB had sent us a letter right after the election was announced warning us that they intend to raise the rental of our HDB rental unit by a whooping mind-boggling 37%! That’s more than one-third of our current rental and more than $700 per month! But that’s not all. It seems like the letter (see the attached) is a standard letter that is sent to all HDB commercial and industrial property tenants, so we are not the only tenant who is affected.Read More »
