TAIWANESE MEN ARRESTED FOR IMPERSONATING POLICE OFFICERS IN ANOTHER SCAM

Two Taiwanese men have been arrested by the police for their suspected involvement in a scam where they impersonated police officers to cheat their victims. The two suspects were arrested after CID managed to identify them, and investigations also revealed they have been involved in at least six other similar cases, their haul totaling about $100,000. Police did not indicate if the Taiwanese men are here on social visit passes, or long term visas.

MHA LOOK INTO HEAVIER PUNISHMENTS FOR ASSAULTING UNIFORM OFFICERS

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is relooking at legislation on attacking uniformed officers, wrote Minister of Home Affairs and Law K Shanmugam in a Facebook post today. His remarks come after a man, Alvin Lim Fu Rong, 25, was jailed 10 weeks for attacking a female police officer, Corporal Ammy Shazwina Rizuan Ong.
