MOTORCYCLIST DEAD IN COLLISION WITH LORRY

A motorcyclist died after a collision with a lorry at the PIE in the direction of Tuas near the Adam Flyover at 6.19am. According to the police, the lorry driver, a 54-year-old man, was arrested for causing death by a negligent act. The rider, Mr Shahray Suhaimi, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The accident caused to lanes of the PIE to be closed to traffic, and the jam stretched all the way to Jalan Eunos.

2 MORE ERP GANTRY ACTIVATED, AND 2 MORE HAVE INCREASED RATE. PAY AND PAY!

The rate for both gantries will be $2 between 5.30pm and 7pm, and $1 from 7pm to 7.30pm. Meanwhile, ERP rates at two gantries along the north-bound Central Expressway (CTE) will also be increased during evening peak hours from Feb 20. Both gantries are located after the PIE exit. Of course, reason given by the LTA is that the expressway at the those directions has slowed down tremendously, so need to put up ERP to discourage drivers from using the expressway at the peak period timing.

SPF APPEAL FOR WITNESS FOR CEMENT SPILL ON PIE

Witnesses for Cement Spillage along PIE The Police are appealing for witnesses for a case of cement spillage which occurred on 1 March 2016 around 8am along Pan Island Expressway (PIE) towards Changi Airport, before East Coast Parkway (ECP) exit. The spillage is believed to have contributed to an accident between a taxi and a motorcycle at the location, causing a massive road congestion that lasted about three hours.
