Those in the queue realised that even though they had been there before the store opened, the phones already run out, and they will never get to buy at the price stated. Police had to inform these elderly folks that they had to go home, as the phones are all sold out. Imagine the anger and frustration. No one from the store had the guts to inform them that the phones they wanted had sold out, and they had to use the Police to tell the crowd to disperse. And they had been in the queue since early morning!

To make matters worse, it became apparent that the Tampines store was only carrying limited stocks of maybe 20 - 30 sets, while the queue outside numbered in the hundreds!

GRAB DRIVER RETURN LOST PHONE, GOT ATTACKED WITH HAMMER INSTEAD

A passenger smashed a Grab car with his hammer after losing his phone in the vehicle. He was angry that the driver waited at least 2 days before returning him the phone. According to the Grab driver, the man was on his way from Jurong to Bugis when he lost his phone in the car. The driver only found out later but was too occupied with his duties over the weekend. He tried messaging the man to tell him to collect it personally if he was in a rush. When they finally met, the man rushed towards his car and smashed it with a hammer. The commotion escalated into a fight at Geylang with the driver suffering minor injuries.

STARHUB FLIPS PRATA, PROMISE ME REPLACEMENT PHONE BUT GO BACK ON ITS WORD!

I have an issue with starhub's SmartSupport. I just signed a new contract extension with starhub thinking oh "finally improved better service level." But I was very very wrong. The sales personnel attended to me tell me to sign up the smart support and all in case i lose my phone or what not and its to protect me. Did not explain much about it, but only mainly to replace my phone when lost or damaged. And so fortunate I am, my brand new phone has to be left with the box on the MRT this morning. Immediately i called smart support thinking i might get helped after all.

The customer service say no i am not allowed to get a replacement. Isn't this a form of acknowledge and how can STARHUB not honor it? Is SmartSupport a way to make that extra $10 a month or to give consumers a sense of false security? Is this the world class standard? Do you know how much frustration I am feeling while your customer service say we reserve our right to terminate your SMartSupport. I told you yes you do but have you terminated it? If you have not, you have to honour it.

I am very disappointed. Starhub used to go that extra mile thats why i switch from singtel. But soon, you are looking like singtel, behaving like singtel, maybe soon, the same way to make maximum profits out of consummer. I expect a call from someone who can make a sound decision.

S'PORE MAN GRATEFUL AFTER HONEST FOREIGN WORKER RETURNS LOST PHONE

Over the weekend, my son lost his phone at MBS. He only realized it after a few hours. Thought it was a gone case until we received a call from Satish Kumar from BMS Group Environmental Services P/L. He found it in the toilet. Thought it was a strange place that he arranged for us to pick it up - Helix Bridge. Realized he was working there and he had to climb up to hand it over.
Grateful for his honesty and humility.
