Despite winning men's and women's 100m races on Tuesday, celebrations for the Philippines' 2 foreign sprinters was short-lived. To Filipino fans in the stadium, it became glaringly obvious that Eric Cray and Kayla Richardson both wore the Philippines flag upside down, with the red rather than the blue on top. According to Filipino websites, the country flag is only inverted when it is officially at war. No one has stepped forward to claim responsibility for the embarassing episode.

The Philippines SEA Games volleyball coach Roger Gorayeb has demanded that SEA Games organizers perform a gender test on Indonesian women's volleyball player Aprilia Santini Manganang. She was singled out because of her appearance and powerful physique. The Philippines SEA Games delegation representative has confirmed its request, but said that she does not expect the test to be carried out before the game against Indonesia in Singapore, which will take place on Wednesday. 23 year-old Manganang is expected to play Wednesday's Pool B opener against the Philippines.

SINGAPORE NETBALL GIRLS DESTROY THE PHILIPPINES TEAM 84-12

Singapore's netball girls team have done Singapore proud by beating the Philippines team 84-12 to advance into the SEA Games semi finals. The Philippines team was simply outclassed and outmatched by the reigning Asian champions, whose star shooters Charmaine Soh and Yasmin Ho put 22 and 25 goals into the net respectively. Chen Huifen and Pamela Liew also put in 17 and 20 goals. The winning goal streak amount to an average of 21 goals in each of the 4 quarters!

The Singapore Lions Under-23 football team beat the Philippines 1-0 at the Jalan Besar Stadium last night. PINOY LAWYER SAYS THAT EDZ ELLO IS NOT GUILTY OF SEDITION

Despite all evidence to the contrary, a Filipino lawyer has come out to declare that he believes Edz Ello has done nothing wrong by posting seditious comments against Singaporeans on his personal Facebook page. According to Philippines media, Attourney Joyce Domingo Dapat of the Domingo, Munsayac and Associates Law Office, Philippines, appeared on a recent Pinoy TV show to give her views on the case. According to Joyce, Edz Ello was treated "unjustly" because he lost his job prior to the conclusion of police investigations. She said that Edz Ello had his human rights "violated" because his passport was impounded for his crime. She also took issue with the S$10,000 bail needed for Edz to post bail, claiming that the amount was too high for such an offence.
