I have been living in Geylang Serai for the last 27 years and have seen the area undergone several aesthetical changes with no substance or historical value at all. The old Geylang Serai Malay Village was 1 such example. Moreover, these foreigners are here to work and not cuddle in each others arm or to make out.

My friend's daughter has a philippino boyfriend and she's not open to accept him. She feels that he only likes to party, fun loving and like branded goods. Her daughter only get to know him for a few months. But then when her daugher turn 18, she elope with him to Philippines. And her poor parents can't stop her in time. She got married in Phillipines and even had a very sweet daughter. The problem is, she is abused by her husband and she is alone in Phillipines. My friend wants to warn all other girls out there to becareful about philippino men and not to be taken in by their sweet words and promises and end up living a hard life.
