After a May 21 petition to allow people to opt out of receiving the NDP funpack, MP Louis Ng shared a poll on his Facebook post on Monday (May 25) morning 9.38am. However at 5.52pm the same day, he updated that the poll was closed. That's barely a full day.

Singaporeans have expressed concerns over the proposed fake news law. Some will be taking part in an event at Hong Lim Park today while others have signed a document calling for the withdrawal of the bill. Everytime there are new changes, Singaporeans voice displeasure through petitions, speeches and discussions. Have conversations worked? Will they work? FARID KHAN'S MEDIA STAFF COUNSELLED FOR 'ACCIDENTALLY' SHARING PETITION

The media staff who "accidentally" shared a petition about the Rohingya crisis on Mr Farid Khan's FB has been counselled. According to his Campaign Manager, they have counselled the member and "also requested our media team to exercise extra caution henceforth. We consider that this issue has been adequately dealt with and is now closed."

PARLIAMENTARY RESPONSE TO SUNGEI ROAD MARKET PETITION DEEPLY DISAPPOINTING

There are also some inconsistency and ambiguity with the figures cited in Parliament. Out of the “200 vendors” reportedly engaged by the Government, SMS Khor said “more than 60 are receiving some form of Government assistance”, while a vague “more than 80” indicated they do not require assistance after SRM ceases on July 11. This still leaves “70 or so” vendors who are assessing their options. Simple arithimetics dictates that adding the 3 category of vendors mentioned would exceed the reported 200 “engaged” vendors.

WOMAN STARTS PETITION TO SUE TOA PAYOH COUPLE WHO PUSHED OLD MAN

As a middle-aged woman with elderly parents, I was irked when I saw the way the young couple bullied the old man over seats at Toa Payoh Lor 8 hawker centre. The uncouth woman repeatedly used vulgarities on the old man, calling him "bloody old man", "farking old man", "what's your farking problem".
