GOVT GIVES OUT CITIZENSHIP TO PRCS LIKE TOILET PAPER

I was offered a 3 months contract job in a local construction company which is fully owned by China PRC, now a citizen, and run the China way. All my full time colleagues are China PR. I am the only local contract staff there to replace a PR who was on maternity leave. During my 3 months, I was surprise that 4 individual PR have applied for citizenship and was all approved. Do we really need all these citizen ?

I just want to bring to your attention that there is a large group of PRs living in Singapore with their Singapore family. I am one of them. I married my wonderful Singaporean wife and have been living here since the late 80s, way before the so called ‘FT’ issue came into being. We have 2 wonderful sons and in case you think they are skipping NS, one finished his and is currently studying in a local university. The other will be serving his next year. All are singaporeans except myself.

In Singapore, a PR status is renewed every five years depending on whether a person has made significant economic contribution. The criteria is subjective. It is speculated that a PR residing overseas mostly can retain the status if he has volunteered CPF contribution, and if he happens to work for a Singapore enterprise outside Singapore. Lest we forget, like HK, Singapore PR status is for sale. As “little” as a few million, PR status can be bought for the whole family. It is a PR investor scheme administered by EDB.
