DPM Teo Chee Hean recounted his impressions of the Lee siblings in hopes that they will not accuse the PM just because they are unhappy about having to clarify their father's last wishes. While he said "the Hsien Loong I see now is the same Hsien Loong I have known all these years - an upright person who stands by his principles, and does what is right..." he continued that "the Hsien Yang I see now is not the Hsien Yang I knew". He did not understand why LHY is so consumed by hurt and hopes he will "find peace and solace within himself" in due time. As for Lee Wei Ling, DPM Teo guessed she must have gone through difficult times because of her parents and her own health, and wished for her to have a healthy, long life.

Halim explained that the flag existed way before the ISIS terror group started and simply states “There is no God but Allah and Muhammad SAW is his messenger”. It is a phrase that is recited by Muslims all across the world during their prayers. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Now that we know, we should not link this religous flag to the terrorist organisations who use violence to achieve their agenda. Just because terrorists have hijacked the flag for its own use does not mean it is representative of the majority of Muslims who do not believe such violent ideology.

Groups here have raised more than $1 million for relief efforts in the Gaza Strip, where more than 1,800 people have died since Israel launched an offensive nearly a month ago. One of these is a Muslim charity, the Religious and Educational League of Radin Mas (Bapa), which has raised over half a million dollars, or more than five times its original target of $100,000. I would like to register my displeasure and regret to MHA for the organizer & speakers having blatantly displaying the Palestinian flag during their protest which is breaching the rules of the licensing conditions. I would like to say that I find the act of these people most hypocritical as, if you had remembered, there was a previous outpouring of scorn when organizers of the Philippine Independence Day had intended to celebrate it in Ngee Ann City along with a flag raising ceremony.
