LOANSHARKS NOW TARGETING PRIMARY SCHOOLS TO SPRAY O$P$

Loansharks are now targeting primary schools to leave their vandalism mark, just to get back at the people who are presumed to owe them money. Their modus operandi now changed, from targeting block of flats where debtors live, to schools where their children go to. The latest incident occurred at White Sands Primary School, where splashes of red paint streaked the wall beside the school's main gate in Pasir Ris Street 11, while "O$P$" was daubed in black paint. Police say this incident is related to loansharking activities. This is not the first time a school had been targeted. Last month, a man was convicted of splashing paint at a Tanjong Pagar pre-school attended by a debtor's children.

AVA CULLS MORE CHICKENS, THIS TIME IN PASIR RIS

AVA is at is again! Just a month after the Sin Ming chickens was culled that angered many Singaporeans, AVA went ahead and culled some free roaming chickens in the Pasir Ris area. Residents near the culling area, at the Sungei Api Api area claimed that there used to be more than 10 chickens around the area, but now only a scattered 2 or 3 remained. Expect these 2 or 3 to be culled soon too. AVA said it has been receiving feedback about the "growing free-roaming chicken population" since January last year, although they declined to say exactly how many complaints were received, or indeed, if the complaints come from the same group of people.
