Mother Looking For Malay Couple Who Saved Boy From Roadside

A car camera video showed a driver making a left turn along a road junction and encountered a boy suddenly running onto the left lane of the road. Fortunately an unidentified man came running to the rescue of the boy and safely removed him from traffic. The mother later saw a Malay couple holding on to her son. She was so overcome with shock and relief that she did not manage to say anything much to them except "May Allah bless you both." Now that the mother has composed herself, she is reaching out through social media to try to find this kindhearted Malay couple who saved her son.

Over the years business has grown so much so that there is a complete disregard for hygiene, misuse of unmarked common areas, storage of foodstuff in utility compartments, preparing and selling food at common area and disregard for the safety of residents.

Saw this construction materials that was put at the fire engine accessway infront Blk 180C rivervale Crescent before circuit breaker. In the event of fire outbreak, not sure if fire engine is able to access as the materials are obstructing its access.

Residents also indicated that there was one other lift, but that was undergoing upgrading works, so they are left with the one lift that broke down. Calls to the Essential Maintenance Service Unit (EMSU) by the residents resulted in the EMSU telling them they cannot do anything, while the Town Council office did not answer residents' calls, even though it was on a Thursday afternoon, when every salaried employees are supposed to be working.

A resident was shocked to find a bunch of rats feasting by a rubbish bin at Ang Mo Kio. The bin was clearly overflowing with rubbish and had not been cleared for some time. This is not the first time it has happened in recent weeks. A few weeks ago, another resident posted a video of rats rummaging through rubbish at Pasir Ris. Is this what Singaporeans get despite paying conservancy charges? Why can't the authorities do their basic duties properly?

MORE THAN 50 MICE FOUND ABANDONED IN PASIR RIS

Karen Teng, 47, said she saw a moving white mass, and when she went for a closer look, realised that the white mass was made up of many little rodents. A trail of bread slices had also been placed at the same spot, which leads to a forested area, which could have been used to lure the mice further away from the pavement. She estimated that the mice were about 6 cm long, minus the tail.
