PSLE QUESTION ABOUT RIBBONS SENT PARENTS INTO ANGER FRENZY

In a sign of times, parents have got in the act, complaining that the PSLE question in a mathematics paper was tricky and disturbing. One online forum writer even claimed that he had written to a school principal to give "feedback to the Ministry of Education (MOE)"

SCHOOL REFUSES TO COMMUNICATE ON ADHD STUDENT APPLICATION

While many other parents who are nervous about their children's performance, I have to deal with a different kind of anxiety because of the school inefficiency. My son has a ADHD condition and the school has not been very efficient in getting the approvals in time with no assurance except a call last Friday (after calls to MOE) with a non-committal of "we submitted the application".

Why then does it take so long to be approved when the Dr's report was already given since April? Till now, no response from the Principal.

PARENTS OF RADICALISED WOMAN MUST BE PUNISHED FOR KEEPING QUIET & DESTROYING EVIDENCE

I'm shocked that an infant care teacher was radicalised but more appalled that her parents did not inform the authorities about her! They are religious teachers and yet didn't bother to report her? The news said they also desotryed evidence to minimise her acts!

Shouldn't they be punished too? What if she did something serious? What if she influenced or harmed other people? Will they be answerable? Why didn't they seek professional help for her? She could have been guided away from the path of radicalism if they bothered to speak up. Isn't it selfish to keep quiet about something so serious?

According to the school's rules, anybody caught using handphones in class will have their devices confiscated for 3 months. The boy himself indicated that he was aware of the rule. However, his parents were relentless as they sent letters demanding the school to return their son's phone immediately. They threatened to take this to the court if nothing is done.
