Just after making a post disageeing with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's recommendations for a healthier living for all Singaporeans, former Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP) Calvin Cheng has hit out again at another of PM Lee's key National Day Rally themes.

I never thought I would see the day when the Prime Minister of Singapore would give as banal a speech as he gave tonight.

I came across this disgusting sight. PAP Hougang continues to ignore the votes of Hougang residents and acts as if they rule the constituency even though they lost more than once.

Appointing a Grassroots Advisor in Marsiling instead of calling for a by-election raises very unsettling questions about how the Government recognises the legitimacy and authority of elected MPs. Does this mean that Government agencies will now accord them with as much recognition as elected MPs? Does this mean that these advisors can take on other roles that presumably only MPs can undertake?
