Covid19: If the Govt Took Drastic Measures To Deal With Virus Earlier, We Would Still Be Having Bubble Tea

The situation must be incredibly dire to severely limit the food options of this country more than closing all dine-in eating. This just makes me more scared of our domestic situation. But it is also getting me more distrustful of the lightning party. They would argue that only under their iron hand we would go through this crisis, but the same could be said for literally anyone in any crisis with enough time and patience given by the people. And if they had taken advantage of the buffer period of January to March where they had little infection and more time to take more drastic measures, we wouldn't be in this sort of crisis.

PM Lee Hsien Loong wife now ownself admit that the government made a mistake in recalling Singaporeans back home when they saw the numbers of infected people spiking overseas. This mistake was further compounded by the fact that the government allowed these returnees to go home with only stay home notices, meaning that those with the virus could potentially go on to infect other members of their households and the entire society at large.

To Close, or Not Close, Is That the Only Choice for MOE?

Instead of being for or against closing schools, how about we let parents decide whether their children would stay home to receive their education online? This will allow families facing different circumstances to make their decisions accordingly. It may also facilitate the implementation of social distancing in schools as certain classrooms and teachers may be freed up so that conventional class size may be reduced with the potential bonus of enhancing the quality of education delivery.

Humans Right watch Slams Singapore Government For Jolovan Wham’s Jail Term

The Human Rights Watch has releases a statement slamming the Singapore Government on the imprisonment of Jolovan Wham which started yesterday. He was jailed for being guilty of the charge of scandalizing the judiciary. They even referred to the law offence used by Singapore as being archaic, even pointing out that countries such as New Zealand, Canada and Brunei have ceased using the law. The Human Rights Watch went even as far as stating that the Singapore Government is so afraid of facing up to the truths that they turn to this law to silence their critics.
