The Chief of Progress Singapore Party (PSP) and possibly de facto opposition figurehead, Dr Tan Cheng Bock, found himself in a very familiar, yet peculiar position over dinner at a community event. He was seated at a table reserved for guests of the Temple, and found himself seated beside S Iswaran and Foo Mee Har, both PAP MPs for the West Coast GRC ward.

PAP MP Takes Sarcastic Jibe At Pritam Singh, But He Replies With Class

Associate Professor Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim was on his once every two (or four) years walkabout at his Nee Soon GRC ward when he chanced upon WP MP Mr Pritam Singh at the very same location also doing his walkabout.

Now, Pritam is an MP for the Aljunied ward, but seeing as he is the WP leader, it was not a surprise to see him grace a WP walkbaout at Nee Soon.

PAP MP REFUSE TO HELP REDRESS MY GRIEVIENCE WITH CPF

I was recently refused help from a PAP MP to redress a grievance concerning CPF Board's preference on siding with employers in a labor dispute and am wondering if there are any other avenues to obtain help after an Aljunied WP MP told me there was no other and he's genuinely unable to represent anyone outside of his district though he sympathizes with my situation.

FORMER NTUC CHIEF & PAP MP WHO FLED SINGAPORE IN 1980 CHARGED IN COURT

Former NTUC president and Member of Parliament Phey Yew Kok was charged today for offences that he committed more than 3 decades ago. He had been charged with 4 counts of criminal breach of trust amounting to $83,000 in December 1979, but had jumped bail and fled Singapore in 1980 to escape his charges. At the time, he also faced 2 charges under the Trade Unions Act for investing $18,000 of trade union money in a private supermarket without the approval of the minister.

LIM BIOW CHUAN: DON'T COME TO GRADUATION IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE RECOGNIZED

3 students turned up for their graduation ceremonies last week at Nanyang Polytechnic with hoods that covered their entire faces. 1 of the students even chose to receive his graduation certificate on stage with the hood still on. The other 2 had removed their hoods when they went on stage to receive their certificates. The student who remained hooded is a graduating student from the NYP School of Interctive and Digital Media. The school director Daniel Tan and the prankster's fellow students were not surprised by his antic, however, as they said "creativity" is common in their school.
