S'POREAN BUSINESSMAN OF PAKISTANI-ARAB DESCENT ANNOUNCES BID FOR MALAY ELECTED PRESIDENCY

Mr Farid Khan Kaim Khan, a Singaporean of Pakistani-Arab descent has announced his bid for the Elected Presidency this year. He said that he wanted to fulfil the people's wish and trust by contesting in this reserved elections for the Malay community. Farid Khan is the Chariman of marine services provider Bourbon Offshore Asia which has a shareholder equity of S$400 million, $100 million short of the $500 million needed to qualify for the Elected Presidency.

PAKISTANI FT WANTS TO KICK MOM'S ASS FOR DELAYING HIS EMPLOYMENT PASS APPROVAL

For vetting, my employer has got pre employment screening done and those checks from my uni and professional school didn't take more than 2 working days. It's already been more than 2 weeks since my application was submitted. I have checked with the student record in my Uni and they haven't received any requests from any agency regarding my vetting/referencing. Any idea what's happening with these checks as it won't take more than a week at max for my educational checks?

LOCAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS BEING BULLIED BY FOREIGN STUDENTS

I am a student from one of the three local universities. To increase my professional experience, I took on an additional internship at a boutique consultancy firm. This firm specializes in the investment advisory and strategic consulting. Unfortunately, this turned out to be my worst nightmare. A Pakistani full time staff (my direct supervisor) put me through tremendous amount of verbal abuse.

Two Pakistani men arrested for legless body in suitcase at Syed Alwi Road

Police have arrested two male Pakistani nationals, aged 25 and 43, in connection with the case where a body was found at Syed Alwi Road on Wednesday night. The suspects were arrested on Thursday (June 12) at about 3.00 pm at the vicinity of Rowell Road. A statement from the police said: "Through a coordinated operation involving more than 100 officers, the identities of the suspects and deceased were established within 24 hours of the report lodged."
