SDP became the latest opposition party, after WP, to stop their ground campaigning and outreach program for the General Election, due to being socially responsible and keeping to the rules of social distancing introduced by the government.
Since NSP's narrow defeat (43.35%), wthey have gone on the ground to connect with the residents hoping for the opportunity to represent them in parliament. These past 4 years, a significant amount of blood and sweat has been put in and to ask of someone else to throw their efforts down the drain, it is quite unfair. Shouldn't there be a gentlemen's agreement in place to prevent such infighting?
SDP announced on January 19 that they will do their first walkabout since they launched their GE campaign. The walkabout was scheduled yesterday, 25th Jan from 8 am to 12 pm and the selected places were Sembawang GRC and Holland-Bukit Timah GRC. It is good that SDP is focussing on walkabouts but I honestly have to say that their method isn't good.
