DOES THIS ORIENTATION GAME BUILD BONDS OR IS IT JUST SEXUAL?

Here is an orientation activity that took place at one of the local tertiary institutes a while ago. The objective of the game is to pass the fish on the string from one point to another, and to do this the boys and girls will have to pass the string and fish through their clothes. As you can see in the photo, the girl is putting the string under her top and bra and the others are helping her move the fish into her clothes and out. How is this a bond building activity?

NTU CAMPS ARE EQUALLY SEXUALISED, GIRLS WEAR BIKINI & SHOW CLEAVAGE

With regards to the recent furore over the exposure of sexualized orientation games at NUS, I would like to point out that it is not only happening at NUS. While other universities and polytechnics aren't as extreme yet, their orientation camps can easily go that way. Even if there is a swimming component, why are there girls wearing bikinis and sports bras on the school campus? Can't they wear a modest swimsuit instead? Why is there so much focus on who is hot and who is not?

NUS SUSPENDS ALL FRESHMAN ORIENTATION CAMPS AFTER VIDEO OF RAGGING EMERGED

The National University of Singapore (NUS) announced it was suspending all student-organised freshmen activities after All Singapore Stuff exposed recent instances of unauthorised and unsupervised freshmen activities despite NUS's instructions on the issue after facing public uproar. The school said "dunking or other forms of ragging is strictly banned under the university's guidelines for student activities."

NEW LEAKED VIDEO SHOWS DEGRADING NUS ORIENTATION GAMES PERSIST DESPITE PUBLIC UPROAR

I received this video yesterday, after the NUS orientation games saga erupted. These activities took place on the afternoon of 27/7/2016. From what I know, NUS had already said that they will investigate, take "strong disciplinary action" and "NUS staff will be at camps throughout" so I can't understand why this is still happening????? Are they trying to say that the staff they have deployed on the camp ground condone this behaviour?

NUS STAFF WHO APPROVED SEXUAL ORIENTATION GAMES ODD TO BE SACKED

The "orientation" programs in NUS comes very close to a sex orgy session. After reading the so-called"rules and guidelines" set by NUS for these orientation camp programs, it is clear that 50% of all the "do's and don't" were violated. To think that this has been going on for the last ten years is unbelievable! Whoever is in charge of approving should be hardly reprimanded if not discharged from such responsibility.

ARE TERTIARY ORIENTATIONS TEACHING FRESHIES THE WRONG VALUES?

The school held a disco night whereby there was loud booming music blared for nearly 2 hours, during which, according to my child, there were already people in distress complaining that the music was too loud, the disco was too stuffy and warm and there were even a few girls that burst out in tears. The event ended late at night, at nearly 9.45pm that my child only reached home at 11pm! I wonder if it is alright for the polytechnic to do such a thing? Why is it compulsory to have our children exposed to such loud thumping music in a hot, stuffy area till late at night?

S’POREAN STUDENT GETS PREGNANT PLAYING UNIVERSITY’S FRESHMAN ORIENTATION GAMES

A Singaporean student has become pregnant after playing some of the Freshmen Orientation Camp (FOC) games organised by one of the local universities. It has been revealed recently that some of the FOC games have long promoted the exchange of bodily fluids between members of the opposite sex, such as licking whipping cream off each other’s bodies, passing gummy bears from mouth to mouth and lying next to or on top of each other, all on the pretext of promoting platonic bonding.

The Nanyang Business School (NBS) Freshmen Orientation Camp (FOC) was cancelled two days ago — three days since it started — after several of its participants were hospitalised, having suffered seizures. The camp was due to end today. All of them, except for one with an eye infection, have since been discharged. The Nanyang Chronicle was unable to confirm if that student also suffered seizures.
