MAN CHARGED FOR INVOLVEMENT IN MULTINATIONAL ONLINE VICE RING

Suspected operators of vice website Laksaboy were arrested and two vice syndicates crippled in a series of raids conducted by the police on Thursday. Saw Yan Long, 29, was charged for an offence under the Women's Charter for living on part of the earnings of a 39-year-old Thai national between June 29 and July 19. Saw is suspected of involvement in a multinational online vice ring.

PROCREATION TAX BENEFITS ONLY BENEFIT THE RICH IN SINGAPORE?

I refer to the article “169 childcare centres run by 23 partner operators to cut fees from 2016” (Straits Times, Oct 19). It states that “About $250 million over five years has been set aside by the Government for the partner operator and anchor operator schemes.” Does this mean that the average spending a year to help parents pay for childcare is only about $50 million a year ($250 million divided by 5 years)?
