A netizen warned Carousell buyers to be careful of a seller who cheated her friend of $200. Her friend had wanted to buy a fish tank from the seller, who asked to pay $150 before the meet up. In subsequent exchanges, the scammer did not reply even though the buyer kept pressing him to deliver the item and to do a refund.

SCAMMERS RENT CAMERA EQUIPMENT, THEN SOLD THEM OFF ONLINE

Police have arrested a man and a woman last Wednesday for cheating victims into renting them their cameras and accessories, only to sell them online. The two, a 25 year old man and 20 year old woman who were not named, also assumed the identities of others in the scam. Police recovered several camera equipment and accessories when the duo were arrested in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8. Police also found stun guns, a retractable baton as well as ICs and a passport belonging to other individuals with them.

MAN CHARGED FOR INVOLVEMENT IN MULTINATIONAL ONLINE VICE RING

Suspected operators of vice website Laksaboy were arrested and two vice syndicates crippled in a series of raids conducted by the police on Thursday. Saw Yan Long, 29, was charged for an offence under the Women's Charter for living on part of the earnings of a 39-year-old Thai national between June 29 and July 19. Saw is suspected of involvement in a multinational online vice ring.
