Police have arrested a man and a woman last Wednesday for cheating victims into renting them their cameras and accessories, only to sell them online. The two, a 25 year old man and 20 year old woman who were not named, also assumed the identities of others in the scam. Police recovered several camera equipment and accessories when the duo were arrested in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8. Police also found stun guns, a retractable baton as well as ICs and a passport belonging to other individuals with them.

Suspected operators of vice website Laksaboy were arrested and two vice syndicates crippled in a series of raids conducted by the police on Thursday. Saw Yan Long, 29, was charged for an offence under the Women's Charter for living on part of the earnings of a 39-year-old Thai national between June 29 and July 19. Saw is suspected of involvement in a multinational online vice ring.
