One of Singapore's richest man, billionaire Peter Lim, has lodged two police reports after his name and images were used in online scams. The Singaporean investor warns members of the public not to fall for the scams, and is concerned that some have already fallen victim.

A netizen warned Carousell buyers to be careful of a seller who cheated her friend of $200. Her friend had wanted to buy a fish tank from the seller, who asked to pay $150 before the meet up. In subsequent exchanges, the scammer did not reply even though the buyer kept pressing him to deliver the item and to do a refund.

PERVERTED MAN ARRESTED FOR OFFERING TO BUY UPSKIRT VIDEOS OF FEMALE STUDENTS

A man has been arrested by the police for offering to buy upskirt videos of female students online via Carousell and Locanto. The 35 year old man was arrested after investigations by the police, and had two laptops and a portable hard disk seized.

SCAMMERS RENT CAMERA EQUIPMENT, THEN SOLD THEM OFF ONLINE

Police have arrested a man and a woman last Wednesday for cheating victims into renting them their cameras and accessories, only to sell them online.

The two, a 25 year old man and 20 year old woman who were not named, also assumed the identities of others in the scam. Police recovered several camera equipment and accessories when the duo were arrested in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8. Police also found stun guns, a retractable baton as well as ICs and a passport belonging to other individuals with them.

MAN CHARGED FOR INVOLVEMENT IN MULTINATIONAL ONLINE VICE RING

Suspected operators of vice website Laksaboy were arrested and two vice syndicates crippled in a series of raids conducted by the police on Thursday. Saw Yan Long, 29, was charged for an offence under the Women's Charter for living on part of the earnings of a 39-year-old Thai national between June 29 and July 19. Saw is suspected of involvement in a multinational online vice ring.

NDP TICKETS ON SALE: TOUTS WILL BE BANNED, BUT NOT FINED

The NDP committee has already indicated before that they will ban anyone found touting tickets from any future balloting. The committee further stated that they take serious views of the sale and unauthorised distribution of the tickets, which includes selling the tickets by packaging them with other items.
