SAF SAYS NSMEN NEED TO TAKE CHARGE OF OWN PERSONAL EQUIPMENT AND NOT BE LAZY

Called Helping Arms in ICT's Laundry, Packaging & Storage (HALPS), the service will work by picking up the NSman’s uniforms and equipment like field packs outside his camp on the last day of training. These will be then be cleaned and stored at a warehouse. They will then be prepared and sent to the respective owners for collection outside the main gates during the next ICT.

Although the SAF have not banned such services from being provided, they did warn Operationally Ready NSmen that they have to be responsible for the safekeeping and maintenance of their personal equipment, and to ensure that they are fully equipped and ready at the next ICT or mobilisation. The SAF further added that the NSmen should re-think if the concierge services is going to be consistently able to deliver the agreed services on time.

S'PORE NSMEN ARE TREATED TOO BADLY & TAKEN FOR GRANTED BY MOST PPL

NSFs are treated too badly by public perception. It is an endless cycle. Occasional NSF commit whatever "mistake" like sit on MRT, public outrage, some NSF develop a heck care attitude, more likely to have some shaming incident again. The public takes NSFs for granted. No NSFs want to be there, otherwise they go regular already. They are already disgrunted, but people still heap shit on them because of their connection to army, something they don't even want.

MINDEF SAYS FOCUSING ON DOLLAR VALUE CHEAPENS NS, BUT STILL ANNOUNCED $100 VOUCHERS

Mindef's director of manpower Lee Chung Wei said focusing on the dollar value of the vouchers and other initiatives rolled out this year to celebrate NS "cheapens" the institution. He said: "NS is priceless - you can't put a dollar value to it... If you focus on a dollar value, you are actually cheapening NS."

So, why then is he contradicting himself? Why announce Mindef giving the $100 vouchers? Even reported that the vouchers funded by the government.

JAP TRANSLATOR CAN BE PRESIDENT, BUT S'POREANS NEED TO SERVE NS

Don't you find it funny? Since the PAP government like to emphasize national identity, loyalty to country, and demand all Singaporeans to serve their "national service", why they allow the people who collaborate with the Japanese and then the British to rule our country?

EX-WP CANDIDATE: PRITAM SINGH IS A CLOWN FOR SUGGESTING MINDEF ALSO CHARGE FOR PARKING

By making NSMen to pay for parking space in camps is totally a bad idea. Firstly, most camps do have parking lots reserved for NSMen to park their vehicles during their call-ups. Do Mr Pritam Singh or WP do their call-ups before? Secondly, have he or WP made a comparison of the number of vehicle parked in camps and schools? Now more and more clowns are talking points without having considerations to the People. Mr Pritam Singh and WP is now showing that they are just incapable in having "debates" for the People. Next GE, WP Aljunied may fall completely with such clowns voted in.
