LATE LKY’S RED BOX ON DISPLAY AT NATIONAL MUSEUM

Education Minister Heng Swee Keat, who was formerly the late Lee Kuan Yew's principal private secretary, had written about a red box that the late LKY used to carry around in a Facebook post last Tuesday. According to the post, the late LKY used it to record and store materials about his work and had used it up till the day before he was hospitalized in February this year.

LKY EXHIBITION OPEN AT NATIONAL MUSEUM UNTIL 26 APRIL

The life and political career of the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew will be featured in a new exhibition that is being held at the National Museum of Singapore since Tuesday (24th March) until 26th April. The exhibition will show the circumstances that shaped the ideals and convictions of Mr Lee and his generation of leaders through photographs and audiovisual recordings, as well as artefacts from the National Collection. The timeline of the exhibition runs from Lee Kuan Yew's formative student years to his final years of service as Minister Mentor.

TALK A WALK THROUGH 700 YEARS OF HISTORY

THE wail of an air raid siren pierces the air as visitors sidestep a bomb prop that has "crashed" through the floor of the National Museum, in a space bathed in dramatic red lighting. This is the scene at the Syonan-To section detailing life in Japanese-occupied Singapore. It is part of a new exhibition called Singapura: 700 Years, which opens today.
