LTA HAVING REDUNDANT MRT STATIONS NAMING EXERCISE FOR THE PUBLIC

The Circle Line was officially opened in 2009, and that it is taking this long to actually finally complete the loop is a mark of how 'perfect' the planning for the Circle Line had been. In fact, by the time the Circle Line is completed, many other new lines would have been operational and running by then. The opening of naming the stations to the public is a common exercise that LTA undertakes for all of its newest MRT stations. Among other criteria, the station names should help commuters identify where the station is located easily. So, why not just remove this act of giving the public a voice, by just naming the stations Keppel, Cantonment and Prince Edward stations. After all, that's where these stations are to be located, and the public can identify the locations of the stations easily if they were so named. So LTA, stop wasting time by having a redundant naming exercise.

Shouldnt her name be "Syafiah Aniqah Binte Zainal Ariffin" as in her LEGAL SINGAPORE NRIC???

A friend received a call from a 'credit company' asking if she is the cousin of so and so....The name was not one of her cousins. Even her name was not correct. Thereafter, she has been receiving calls from different numbers, claiming that person had used her name and phone number as a guarantor for her loans! She even received threats on whatsapp. Is that the new operation standard of Ah Longs nowadays? They simply accept a telephone number with a name as guarantor for loans?

That’s what’s getting our goat now, over the recent embarrassing mistake involving SG50 commemorative notes, where Singapore’s first president Yusof Ishak’s name was misspelled not once, but TWICE in the packaging.
