The maid who allegedly murdered an elderly couple in their Bedok HDB flat has been arrested by Indonesian police in the province of Jambi according to local news Tribrata news. Khasanah, aged 41 admitted to killing the elderly couple Mr Chia Ngim Fong (79) and Mdm Chin Sek Fah (78) and was tracked down with help from a tip off. She was staying at a hotel and was found with multiple valuables in her possession, money, mobile phones and jewellery.

MAID SUSPECTED OF BEDOK RESERVOIR DOUBLE MURDER FLED TO INDONESIA

The maid suspected in the double murder case in Bedok Reservoir, in which two elderly couples were found dead in separate areas of their house, is believed to have fled Singapore for an Indonesian Island. The couple were found and pronounced dead on Wednesday afternoon. Media reports stated that the maid is a suspect in the murder case, and she had been living with the couple for about a month. She was believed to have fled via the Harbourfront Centre on Wednesday, buying a ticket for the first available boats out. Based on information on the Singapore Cruise website, ferries were available to two Indonesian destinations: Batam or Tanjung Balai on Great Karimun Island.

TAMPINES: MARRIED MAN SUSPECTED OF STABBING WOMAN BEFORE JUMPING TO HIS DEATH

A 46 year old woman and a 49 year old man were found dead at Tampines Central yesterday. The woman was found with stab wounds on her bed while the man was discovered below the HDB block. The two were believed to have relationship problems even though the man was already married with a child. The woman herself was also divorced. Neighbours told the police they could always hear the couple fight and shout at each other. Police suspect that the man killed her before falling 10 floors to his death, but are still trying to find the murder weapon. The case is under investigations.

20 YR OLD MALAYSIAN COLLEGE STUDENT DROWNS BABY IN HOSTEL TOILET BOWL

20 year old Malaysian college student Nur Izzati Adi was charged with murder for drowning her newborn baby in a toilet bowl in her hostel. Initially, the police thought she was trying to hide the birth or dispose of the dead body but later found out that her son was actually born alive. The first year student at an agricultural institution in Malaysia did not plea against the charge as it was read out to her. She was later taken to the Pokok Sena prison. The case will be mentioned again in June after the post-mortem report is completed. Isn't this inhumane? Stress also cannot like that lah! #RIP

THAI WOMAN STOMPED ON SG BOYFRIEND’S HEAD TILL HE DIED

43 year-old Sukanya Praphuttha, a Thai national with permanent residence in Singapore, was sentenced to 5½ years' jail after stomping her Singaporean boyfriend to death. The Thai woman had gotten in a quarrel with her 55 year-old handyman boyfriend, Lee Yang Boo. During the fight, Praphuttha used her right foot to stomp on the left side of his head at their North Bridge Road flat. Praphuttha had been living together for 7 years, though their relationship was often marked with quarrels and physical violence.

MAN WHO FOUGHT WITH ST JAMES’ BAR SECURITY WINDS UP MURDERED

At about 6AM on Saturday, 2 men were brutally slashed and attacked with a sharp weapon, which resulted in the death of one of the 2 victims. According to an eye witness, Ms Daisy, 37, who owns one of the bars in the area, she saw 2 bloodied men staggering away from an attack that happened nearby. One of the men was already on the floor, and the other fell to the ground in pain shortly after. She did not manage to see the culprit.
