Part Time PAP MP For Bukit Batok Gets Coveted Appointment Of Senior Counsel

Part Time PAP MP For Bukit Batok Gets Coveted Appointment Of Senior Counsel

Now, instead of getting questioned in Parliament if his Town Council's misdemeanor makes him unsuitable to carry out MP duties, and whether he should be recused, the part time MP gets rewarded with a high post that is coveted by all lawyers in Singapore. Of course, the job of Senior Counsel will demand Murali's full time dedication. His Bukit Batok residents should now question if he really have got time for them at all.

BUKIT BATOK RESIDENTS FACE 2 MONTHS OF NEW LIFT BREAKDOWNS, DID THEY VOTE FOR THIS?

Amidst the FamiLee drama, let us not forget that we still have to put up with many unsolved problems from chronic overcrowding and frequent breakdown of public transport system to signalling faults to hospital overcrowding to......HDB lift breakdowns! We urge the residents not to worry. For past 2 months, residents of Blk 296C at the spanking new (and costly) Bukit Batok development Skyline II have had to put up with frequent lift breakdowns. We are sure they will be well taken care of by their PAP MP Murali Pillai, whom they overwhelmingly voted in to Parliament with a whopping 61.2% of the votes in 2016.

TAN CHENG BOCK: MURALI BY-ELECTION VICTORY IS A WIN FOR MULTIRACIALISM

The results of the Bukit Batok by-election clearly show that a minority candidate can win an election on his own. This win by Murali is significant because he won his seat as a member of a minority race in a predominantly (75%) Chinese constituency. And the win is even more telling because it was won in a by-election. Recent past by-election results have not been in favour of the ruling party eg Ponggol East by-election.

PAP ENTOURAGE SAY "INDIANS SHOULD SUPPORT INDIANS"!

On Sunday, i was with my family at Bt Batok Ave6 when the PAP entourage arrived. The candidate shook hands with everyone and i thought thats it. But one indian member of the entourage came to my family and said to us that indians should support indians!

I was shocked but he just winked and quickly join up with his team. I asked my wife to repeat wat she heard and its exactly what i heard! This is disgusting and i found his photo through online articles.

PAP'S MURALI IS ETHICALLY BANKRUPT!

PAP's Murali is ethically bankrupt!

What Murali should have done if he was a moral person would be to say that if he does this as a Part Time Job, he should have in the very same breath said he will take only partial salary. That is fair and morally upright thing to do. For example, if he says he will discharge his MP duties for only 10 hours a week, then, he should just say that he has voluntarily turn down $13000 in pay and accept only a $4000 salary. In this way, these is some justification for telling everyone that he will work only part time for them.

DO NOT REWARD PERSONAL INDISCRETION BY VOTING PAP IN

Straits Time announced that Murali “UNVEILS” BB infrastructure plans on 24 Apr 16 [link]. Unveils, if one is to refer to any dictionary, will be to uncover, which implies it is something “New”. However, on 28 Apr 16, Channel News Asia had an interview with him. This UNVEILS that the BB infrastructure plans are part of the plans of the previous MP who resigned on grounds of “personal indiscrection”, Mr David Ong.

Solution for Bukit Batok Residents: Don’t reward personal indiscretion by voting another pap MP in, especially one who will just be like another 81 other pap MPs. He will not go strongly against the party directions and you will suffer for it, just like how many Singaporeans are suffering now due to the economic down turn.

PAP WOMEN MINISTERS VOUCH FOR MURALI, BUT DR CHEE IS STILL BETTER!

Dr Chee lives in a three room flat. He is the kind of person who well understands through first hand experience, the daily grind of the common folk.

Mr Murali is a successful lawyer. He is the kind of person who better understands what it is like to be successful and to be an elite in this country.

Who will better understand the concerns of the Bukit Batok common folk? Dr Chee who lives their lives or Mr Murali who does not?

Grace Fu lambasts Dr Chee for not holding a full time job for a long time and then questions his relevant work experience.

However, between Dr Chee and Mr Murali, Dr Chee's variety of work experiences is actually richer and more relevant to an MP's duties as compared to Mr Murali's. Unlike Mr Murali who can only claim expertise in matters of law in parliament, Dr Chee has given talks to international audiences and written books and papers published by leading newspapers and magazines in a variety of topics including economics, politics, law, democracy and so on.
