Images of a man being arrested at Geylang Serai Bazaar have gone viral among netizens. The man being arrested is suspected to be the owner of a controversial DenDeng stall at the bazaar which has been plagued by accusations of selling "unknown meat".

MUIS SAYS IMAM'S REMARKS AGAINST JEWS & CHRISTIANS HAVE NO PLACE IN S'PORE

The Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) has come out saying that Imam Nalla Mohamed Abdul Jameel's remarks against Christians and Jews have no place in today's Singapore where all communities live in peace and harmony. MUIS said that Imam Nalla's comments caused confusion and suspicion among non-Muslims and had damaged the image of Islam and Muslims in Singapore. Even within the Singapore-Muslim community, it has caused some disquiet.

NTUC PLACED CHICKEN WITH ONLY PART OF HALAL WORD ON PRICE TAG, NO MUIS HALAL LOGO

I went to the Halal section for chicken, intending to buy some chicken drumsticks.

Imagine my surprise when on one of the chicken sold, there was no Halal logo sticker from MUIS. Instead, there is just a printed halal on the price tag. Even then, the words did not completely spell halal. Instead, it was (hal. So is this chicken meat halal or not? If not, understand it might be a mistake from your staff placing it there. But why then is there part of the word Halal on the price tag?

There's a huge difference between printing the word halal and having the logo which is accredited by MUIS.

This is a shout out to all muslims in Singapore to always look for the MUIS halal certification sign before patronizing a stall. The are a slew of fake certification tactics employed by non-halal businesses to attract Muslim customers even though they are not halal. They will use unsuspecting Malay aunties or makciks to cook and sell foodstuff to attract customers

However, I was shocked to learn that my late father's devious sisters who were non-muslims, had obtained a district court order laying hands on $150,000 of my late father's assets from NTUC Income and Prudential! I later found out they had falsely declared to the police and court that my late father had no other surviving kin and they would like his estates to be distributed under civil law.
