A Singaporean Chinese writer posted on FB about a group of rowdy monkeys who raided her house at Bukit Timah. AVA FAILED TO CATCH SEGAR RD MONKEY FOR 2 WKS, INSTALLS CCTV INSTEAD

Five new CCTV cameras were set up in Bukit Panjang in order to help catch the troublemaking monkey. AVA said the cameras will allow them to better understand the monkey's movements and plan more effective operations. AFTER MONKEY BITES RESIDENTS, AVA FINALLY DECLARES THE MONKEY AS A PUBLIC SAFETY RISK

AVA has described the situation where a monkey is running havoc and going around biting people at Segar Road as a public safety risk. They are now working with the Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (Acres) to remove the monkey that has continued to wreak havoc in the Bukit Panjang estate since November last year, after another monkey was removed. After biting numerous people and not being afraid of the presence of humans in the area, and AVA only now calls it a safety public risk? Thanks, but you did not need to tell the public that. We already know, long before you did. The monkey have been a menace since at least November last year, and residents have complained since then, but only now action is to be taken? After the media finally publicise the issue?
