We have been sending feedback and photos to HDB since Feb 2020 regarding the leakage problem inside our house at 126 Geylang East. We are really troubled and feel totally helpless whenever we look at the situations get worse. The Geylang East resident is in the Marine Parade Town Council which was previously held by the PAP. It is currently contested by the PAP team Tan Chuan-Jin, Seah Kian Peng, Edwin Tong, Mohd Fahmi Aliman and Tan See Leng. Perhaps the worries of this resident can be solved by having involved and concerned Members of Parliament in charge of her town council.

The Marine Parade Town Council (MPTC) is in hot soup with cat lovers all over Singapore, after their heartless act of relocating two cats that were from the Marine Terrace estates to HabourFornt backfired. One of the cats had died, while the other has gone missing.

You have probably seen photos of Moktar, one of our conservancy supervisors, circulating on Facebook over the last few days. Given the interest, we thought this is a chance for us to introduce him better: Moktar has been working with us for the past 5 years and is the supervisor for Blk 120 to 134 Geylang East Central / Avenue 1. Therefore, Moktar is not only a supervisor, but he is also the cleaner to that particular block. He reports to his site manager, who oversees the progress of his work, on a daily basis.

With water prices rising soon, with the government saying this is so that Singaporeans can understand the importance of water, another PUB pipe burst, showing just how important water is, and who the main culprits of wastage are. The burst water pipe occured on Tuesday morning between two HDB blocks at Aljunied Crescent, affecting some 75 households. These households were provided alternative water supply from PUB and the Town Council. And less you hting this Aljunied blocks were in opposition ward, they are not. They are in the Marine Parade Town Council.

I am really not interested in pursuing this matter (I seriously have better things to do) but I find Marine Parade GRC’s response to our family friend- Ng Sanson’s facebook post extremely unreasonable and I am appalled by their response. There is hence a need for me to clarify the situation from my family’s point of view and to provide accurate first-hand facts regarding this incident.

I hope the photos are self explanatory. It has been almost 6months. The progress is horrible, especially since the lift has had no major works done since the day we see it in February 2016! I've only started complaining to them about once every two weeks since end April 2016. Today is 14 June 2016. Their answer is still "as soon as possible".

Saw the big notices put by your RC yesterday, highlighting the preparation needs for your visit to my block later today. I must admit I am pretty impressed by the "efficiency" of your announcement as I never saw my corridor swept twice as much (only for today I suppose) and the long faded road labels, repainted on account of your visit from the last G.E. with the previous MP.
