MBS WILL NOT HONOR LOW PRICE ROOMS DUE TO WEBSITE GLITCH

Several customers who booked rooms at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) for bargain low prices at $70 a night were left outraged after the hotel emailed them and told them they would instead have to pay over $450 for them, with a $100 credit off their final bill.

Some guests who have made bookings with the 5-star Marina Bay Sands (MBS) hotel at a discounted rate were angry when they realised that the hotel would not honour the rates.

One guest made a booking and waited several days to ensure that he had book the rooms under a valid promotion. It was only after he booked flights from Germany to Singapore that he received the email from MBS saying that they would not honour the "mis-priced" room rates.

SINGAPORE WON'T BUILD MORE CASINOS FOR NOW

Singapore has "no plans"currently to offer additional casino licences when the moratorium on such licences expires in 2017, Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry Lee Yi Shyan said on Monday. The Government will instead focus on working with the two Integrated Resorts (IRs) to ensure their attractions and services continue to meet the needs of Singaporeans and enhance the country's tourism appeal, he added in Parliament.
