24 Malaysians protested against a Singapore investment firm which cheated them of more than $134,000. The group brought out a 5 metre long banner shaming the cheat and unfurled it outside the Cantonment Singapore Police HQ. The Singapore Police did not arrest the 24 Malaysians despite public protests being banned in Singapore. Is this a double standard in the execution of the laws of Singapore?

US & AUSTRALIA WARN OF TERROR ATTACK AT POPULAR M’SIAN HAWKER STREET

According to statements issued by the US and Australian embassies in Malaysia, terrorists may be planning an attack at popular hawker destination Alor Street in Kuala Lumpur. The US and Australian embassies have warned its citizens to stay away from the street, located in a shopping belt in KL's city center, and its surrounding areas. They say that terrorist organizations in the past had planned attacks to coincide with significant dates, but gave no further details.

2 MALAYSIAN DRUG TRAFFICKERS SPARED JAIL

Four years after being sentenced to death, 2 convicted drug traffickers were spared the gallows today. Malaysians 31 year-old Cheong Chun Yin and 60 year-old Pang Siew Fum were sentenced to life imprisonment for trafficking 2.7kg of heroin to Singapore on June 16, 2008. They were convicted in 2010. Cheong was also given 15 strokes of the cane — the minimum prescribed by the Misuse of Drugs Act.
