HYFA MAY HAVE BREACHED CONTRACT BY USING PITCHES FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES

According to Channel News Asia reporter, Singapore Land Authority's (SLA) decision to suspend football activities on weekends and weekday nights at the Home United Youth Football Academy (HYFA) may have been prompted by a breach of contract, not a petition by five residents staying at Aljunied Road as first reported by mainstream news media.

MACPHERSON ESTATE IS TERRIBLY DIRTY, HOW DID IT GET 'EXCELLENT' GRADING?

I'm really sick of all the wayang about the Town Council's 'excellent' performance in my estate at Macpherson and would like to show everyone the true state of our living. Feedbacks on uncleared rubbish at common areas and even faulty lifts can be ignored for ages and left as it is until they feel like taking action which can be 2-3 weeks later.

KUDOS TO WP POLITICIANS FOR HELPING NEEDY MACPHERSON RESIDENTS

I as a part of the Indian Muslim community of Macpherson, would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to MP Faisal Manap and his candidate Mr Bernard Chen for specially coming down from Kaki Bt just to look into a neglected case which was given false pretense only 4 days after the family's plight was first attended to by Mr Chen! I hope you can and will highlight the good work and efforts of the losing Opposition candidates as the ignorant PAP incumbents often claims that the Opposition merely 'shows up' during elections and disappears soon after.

WHY WON'T LTA COME CLEAN ABOUT CRITERIA USED TO IMPLEMENT "GREEN MAN PLUS" FOR TRAFFIC JUNCTIONS?

In November 2015, the WP candidate who lost in MacPherson SMC, Bernard Chen, wrote a letter to LTA, seeking to improve traffic safety in the estate which has a lot of elderly residents. Improving road safety by increasing the "Green Man" duration on roads with heavy traffic matters a lot in an estate with a lot of elderly.

NETIZENS CHEER HAZEL POA BUT JEER AT STEVE CHIA

On Monday (17 Aug), the Central Executive Council of NSP decided to support its member Steve Chia’s wish to contest MacPherson SMC, resulting in a 3-cornered fight against WP and PAP. NSP Acting Secretary-General Hazel Poa strongly disagreed with the CEC’s decision. However, she was outvoted and hence decided to resign from the party. She announced her resignation from NSP to the press on Wednesday
