LTA SHOULD REVIEW ARCHAIC RULES AND ALLOW TAXIS TO DELIVER GOODS

Most of the taxi drivers say that this is an "archaic" rule, and it counters the Government trumpet-blowing of urging citizens to embrace disruptive technology and the gig economy. WHY WAS OR KIM PEOW AWARDED ANOTHER TENDER WHILE UNDER LTA INVESTIGATION FOR WORKER DEATH?

If Or Kim Peow Construction was already under LTA investigation for safety violations after a worker of their died, why was Or Kim Peow awarded the tender when there were other capable companies who bid for the job? Shouldn't there be punitive action taken while a company is being investigated? How can a company who flouts safety rules be seen as being rewarded with a huge contract when their safety record is poor?

ROOT CAUSE OF MRT GLITCH FOUND, SOLUTION NOT FOUND

However, despite the discovery of "root causes" and imminent software patching work, Mr Lee made no commitment on when the new signalling system would settle down. LTA had said that it would take up to six months, or by November for the signalling system to be tweaked. So, despite SMRT happily announcing the discovery of the root cause of the problems, the solution is still far from being reached. Expect more delays.
