LUI TUCK YEW: I AM EXTREMELY CONCERNED WITH TODAY’S BREAKDOWN

In the wake of the biggest MRT breakdown in Singapore history, Minister for Transport Lui Tuck Yew has finally come up with a statement, although his words are probably little comfort to the many Singaporeans still stuck outside in the sweltering heat, squeezed like sardines into MRT train cabins, buses and long snaking queues for alternate modes of public transport.

ANIMAL CLINIC COLLECTS $300 WHEEL CLAMP FEE WITHOUT LEGAL JUSTIFICATION

On 15 Nov 2014, I had parked my car at a public slip road abutting a corner shophouse at 74 Thomson Road ( The shop name is Animal Infirmary, it's a pet clinic. Photo attached ). There was no traffic lines, no reserved lots..etc to indicate no parking though there was a signboard stating this is 'private residence and ... shall be wheel-clamped'. PASSENGER ON SBS8846A: SBS BUS DRIVER DID NOTHING WRONG!

She was deeply traumatised by the commotion caused by the writer and the PMS auntie in the bus. According to my mum, the driver was not speeding and the road was bumpy due to the construction of the Thomson MRT line. U can see the driver wearing safety gloves to stabilise the steering wheel of the bus. Throughout the journey the PMS auntie was hurling abuses at the bus driver and the writer stood beside the bus driver and took pictures of his face. The writer held his phone close to the driver's face and shoot his face!

OPEN LETTER OF COMPLAINT TO SBS, TP & LTA ABOUT SBS DRIVER OF SBS 8846A

Although I have never experienced the kind of terror that the passengers experienced in this video, but this incident has hit too close to home. I am now genuinely afraid for my safety and my family's safety whenever I board SBS bus 269. Even worse is the unrepentant and arrogant manner of the bus driver, who did not even bother to slow down or apologise for his reckless driving. Instead, when his passengers scolded him and asked him to slow down, he got angry and drove even more recklessly, weaving in and out of lanes as in the video. Is this the kind of service standard that we are to expect from employees of your company?

IS THIS LTA’S LATEST BUDGET SURVEILLANCE CAMERA TO CATCH RULEBREAKERS?

My friend just parked his vehicle when he saw a very strange box placed by the kerb. Feeling curious, he went to have a closer look and was shocked to see that it is infrared surveillance camera retrofitted into a plastic box. It looks poorly made and ridiculous. Is this LTA's latest budget camera meant to catch errant drivers who park illegally?
