In a potential blow to The Worker's Party (WP), national mouthpiece Shin Min questioned if Chen Show Mao will be switching political parties. Shin Min reported that The Worker's Party (WP) MP Chen Show Mao had been seen attending activities by Chee Soon Juan's Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) and Tan Cheng Bock's Progress Singapore Party (PSP).

Prominent WP NMPs Daniel Goh and Leon Perera have been seen going on walkabouts around Aljunied with Low Thia Khiang, raising the possibility that both will be candidates in Aljunied GRC. Expert political observer Tan Ern Ser said that Low Thia Khiang's move to contest East Coast GRC will not affect the chances of losing WP losing Aljunied GRC.

Workers Party, led by their MP and all -round popular opposition leader Low Thia Khiang and former NCMP Yee Jenn Jong spent their past Sunday morning visiting the Marine Parade and Geylang Serai areas to do their residents outreach program.

Opposition leader and veteran Parliamentarian Low Thia Khiang asserted his and his party's views in Parliament on the Fake News Law. He said that the “real aim” of the government in proposing such laws “is to protect the ruling party and achieve political monopoly.”

Workers' Party and Aljunied GRC Members of Parliament Low Thia Khiang, Sylvia Lim and Pritam Singh among others will now have to fend off a 2nd lawsuit after Pasir Ris-Punggol Town Council announced that it too would begin legal proceedings against the WP town councillors to recover allegedly mismanaged funds.

The Singapore Democratic Party released a statement saying it does not want to be implicated in AHTC's dispute and refuted Low Thia Kiang's claims that they also did not handle Town Council matters properly.
