GOVT MUST RECOVER LOST FUNDS FROM CO-OP CHEATS, DON'T JUST KEEP QUIET!

A netizen thinks the Government should speak up and account to the public how it plans to recover lost funds from the Co-op cheat case. Two employees reportedly cheated their co-op of $5.1m. "It would be most irresponsible and unprofessional of them if they simply ignore such valid concerns from members of the public or simply sweep it under the carpet!"

HOW DOES GRABCAR MAKE MONEY WHEN IT BLEEDS MONEY WITH ITS INCENTIVES?

I have a friend drive grab recently, he started at January....he show me his account by hand phone...a day he drive about 10-11 hours, came out 7am drive to 2pm stop... and 5pm drive to 8pm or 9pm ....daily income about $200-250...before rental n oils...n 20% company take ...so, a day he earn about $80-120. I m thinking, if he drive $230 a days, Grab just taken him $46 a days...but his weekly incentive r $800... means, Grab r given him incentives $120 a days...it means grab r losing $74 a days...how Grab earn moneys?

DID AUTHORITIES GIVE IT MUCH THOUGHT BEFORE BUILDING BUKIT PANJANG LRT?

In an article by TODAY (Massive waste to take down BPLRT system: Experts, 7 Oct), several experts were quoted as saying that the Bukit Panjang LRT line was “doomed from the start.” It makes one wonder how much foresight or lack of had gone into the design and deployment of the system.

GIC BACKED PRC COMPANY LI NING LOSES 80% OF MARKET VALUE

Li Ning, backed by private equity powerhouse TPG Capital [TPG.UL] and Singapore wealth fund GIC [GIC.UL], last month reported a first-half net loss of nearly $100 million, more than three times that of the corresponding period a year earlier. It said at the time its recovery could take up to two more years as it invests hundreds of millions of dollars in promotion and advertising.
