LONDON’S VICTORIA COACH STATION EVACUATED, SUSPICIOUS PACKAGE FOUND

London's Victoria Coach station was evacuated after a suspicious package was found there. The police asked commuters to leave the busy area before cordoning off the place. The surrounding area, such as Buckingham Palace road, was also closed. This comes just hours after a bomb attack happened at Ariana Grande's concert in Manchester Arena, which killed 22 people and left at least 59 injured.

SG CONDEMNS LONDON ATTACK, NO SGREANS HURT

The London attacks last night was a stark reminder that any acts of terrorism can happen anywhere, anytime. One does not need a cache of weapons to start a terror attack. Just a car as a weapon would do. Singapore, like the rest of the world, has rightly condemned the attack. No matter who the perpetrator is, or whichever race or religion he claims to represent, this was clearly a cowardly act, and no race or religion will stand for such attacks. How can anyone defend an attack by mowing down defenseless pedestrians, and killing of a policeman who was just doing his job? This was no act of bravado, just senseless killing.

[YOUR LETTERS] UPSET WITH GOVERNMENT SPENDING $4.4M TO WOO SINGAPOREAN QUITTERS

I also don't understand why our government would rather spend so much money trying to court these overseas "quitters' to come back than to improve the existing infrastructure and living conditions in Singapore so that lesser people will think of migrating overseas. Does the government value people with foreign educational background or work experience more than those with local experience? What does this say about the standard of our local workforce and educational institutions?

PRIME MINISTER LEE HSIEN LOONG ENJOYS SINGAPORE DAY IN LONDON

LAST Saturday's Singapore Day event in London's Victoria Park was a "very good climax" to his week-long trip to Europe, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong told reporters. He added in a Facebook post: "I took selfies with so many people, young and old! I also took a few photos of my own." The event, which was attended by some 10,000 Singaporeans, saw him mobbed at every turn. It was his final engagement on a three-country trip that also took him to the Netherlands and Luxembourg. "Today is beautifully warm, and everybody is having a really swinging time," Mr Lee told the media.
