I want to express my disgust with a YouTube video of a 17-year-old actor, Amos Yee, who made a vulgar video of himself insulting the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew. I believe the police needs to take action against him as Amos obviously does not have any sense of respect for a person who has passed on and is trying to cause religious conflict in Singapore.

In yet another case of online vigilantism, online netters have taken the effort to dig up pictures of Amos Yee's family members as well as leak his mobile number, calling on fellow Singaporeans to seek reprisal against him. Is this the kind of behavior Singaporeans condone? Should insensitivity be responded in kind? Or should Singaporeans leave it to the authorities to "handle" it in a more civilised manner?

CASINOS TO CLOSE ON SUNDAY AS A SIGN OF RESPECT TO LKY

The Resorts World Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands announced that their casinos will be shut between 2PM and 6PM on Sunday, 29th March, as a mark of respect to the late Lee Kuan Yew. RWS will also suspend most business operations in its other attractions, including Universal Studios Singapore, S.E.A. Aquarium, Adventure Cove Waterpark, and restaurants and rooms for 5 minutes between 2PM to 2.05PM. The TVs in its premises will screen the live telecast of LKY's state funeral.

The state funeral of the late Lee Kuan Yew will commence on Sunday, 12.30PM, and cover a distance of 15.4KM to the University Cultural Center at the National University of Singapore where a funeral service will take place from 2PM to 5.15PM.

21-GUN SALUTE FOR FOUNDING FATHER MR LEE KUAN YEW ON SUNDAY

The SAF will bid Mr Lee our final farewell with the highest honours. As the gun carriage carries Mr Lee’s body from Parliament House, there will be a 21-gun salute fired by four ceremonial 25-pounder guns as the procession journeys around the Padang. Four RSAF Black Knights will also salute Mr Lee as his body passes City Hall with a "Missing Man" formation where one Black Knight breaks off. As Mr Lee’s body crosses the Esplanade Bridge, Patrol Vessels RSS Dauntless and RSS Resilience will conduct a ceremonial sailpast off the Marina Barrage as our final salute.
