In tribute to the late Lee Kuan Yew, the first prime minister of Singapore, A.S.S. has compiled another list of moving images from LKY's final day state funeral and procession. In these pictures, Singaporeans are queuing up and braving the storm that struck parts of central Singapore just as the procession to shift LKY to his penultimate destination at the NUS University Cultural Center begun. The effect of the rain on Singaporeans and their determination to stand their ground was no less dramatic than the day it rained on our National Day Parade many years ago.

ABOUT 170 FOREIGN DIGNITARIES PAID RESPECTS TO LKY
27 countries, regions and international organisations, represented by 170 dignitaries throughout the world attended the 4-day lying in state for the late Lee Kuan Yew at Parliament House. The visitors included Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and his cabinet, former US President Bill Clinton, Vice President of China Li Yuanchao. Mr Li attended the wake as a special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping and met Teo Chee Hean on Saturday.

All 18 community tribute sites dedicated to the late Lee Kuan Yew will now open 24 hours a day until the end of LKY's state funeral, according to a media release by the People's Association today. The opening of all the sites is aimed at allowing residents who have not had the chance to say goodbye to LKY to do so.

The Resorts World Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands announced that their casinos will be shut between 2PM and 6PM on Sunday, 29th March, as a mark of respect to the late Lee Kuan Yew. RWS will also suspend most business operations in its other attractions, including Universal Studios Singapore, S.E.A. Aquarium, Adventure Cove Waterpark, and restaurants and rooms for 5 minutes between 2PM to 2.05PM. The TVs in its premises will screen the live telecast of LKY's state funeral.
