WHY IS LINA CHIAM SO FOCUSED ON ATTACKING SDP & NOT THE PAP?

Recently, SPP chairman Lina Chiam has been launching attacks on SDP, quarreling about events that happened long ago. Specifically, she is whining about the events that led to Chiam leaving the SDP in 1993 and the proposed reconciliation with the Chiams in 2010. She did it during the Bukit Batok by-election and she is still at it now.

STRANGE FOR LINA CHIAM'S STATEMENT TO BE RELEASED ON COOLING DAY?

It is very strange for Mrs Lina Chiam to issue this statement at this stage of the by-election. This is the second time that she has done so. The timing of the above article is also impeccable. On cooling-off day, no less; which makes it seem more intentional than coincidental. I further question Dr Da Cunha’s and the reporter’s very sensationalised way of presenting the information.

POLITICAL DUD LINA CHIAM SHOULD STAY OUT OF SDP'S BUSINESS

Lina Chiam is not and will never be like her husband. Despite Potong Pasir being an opposition stronghold for years and years, the moment Chiam left for bigger GRC ambitions, it fell like a deck a cards. The beef between Chiam See Tong and Dr Chee happened really long ago and honestly, it is a personal issue between the two and the issue has no real connection with Lina Chiam. She is probably now just using Chiam’s dotage and frail condition to pick an imaginary fight at a crucial time for the SDP. In short, Lina Chiam should just stay out of the picture right now. She can scream and claw when the crucial period is over. If she has nothing good to say, simply don’t say anything.

HAS THE CONSCIENCE OF POTONG PASIR RESIDENTS GONE TO THE PAP DOGS?

I grew up in 120 Potong Pasir and was very proud of my town's heritage being only 1 of 2 wards constantly held by the opposition. Though we do not have much amenities but we have something no one could ever take from us, our pride and dignity or as I so thought! I wonder how on earth can Potong Pasireans do this to the Chiams who have faithfully served us for 32 years with Mrs Lina Chiam being the 2nd most pressing MP in parliament for the last 5 years though she does not have to do so. Where have your conscience gone?

LINA CHIAM: PEOPLE'S ASSOCIATION GRO LAPSES ONLY TIP OF THE ICEBERG

Yesterday (17 Aug) in Parliament, NCMP Lina Chiam from the Singapore People’s Party (SPP) spoke at length about financial lapses by the People’s Association (PA) and the grassroots organizations (GROs) under its umbrella which the Auditor-General’s Office (AGO) has flagged in its recent report. Checks on a mere 6.5% of GROs have already uncovered significant lapses

DPP: VOTERS ARE SMART ENOUGH TO CHOOSE THE STRONGER OPPOSITION CANDIDATE

“If our fellow opposition friends field a candidate stronger than ours, we will obviously either not field our candidate there, or pull back our candidate. If our candidate is stronger… then we will certainly continue to field our candidate there against the PAP, and trust that the other weaker opposition candidates will pull out. If they don’t … I strongly believe that voters would learn from the last Presidential Elections and not split their votes.

THE PEAK SAGA: HRI KUMAR AND SELFISH RC MEMBERS BETRAYED US

I am a resident of The Peak at Toa Payoh. At first, I did not want to write this very personal and damaging article. But seeing the high handed methods of the RC and their insistence on serving their own interests before the residents, I knew that I had to expose them.
