SUICIDE: ANOTHER YOUNG LIFE LOST - HOW DO WE STOP SEEING VULNERABILITY AS WEAKNESS?

My neighbor took his life yesterday. A 15 or 16 year old boy, handsome. He lived in the floor above me. As I was having dinner, I heard a human cry / scream, and then tiles shattering. I thought it was a pot of plants which had fallen. I went out unknowingly for a foot massage, and saw the hole in the roof, the police barricade tape, and the dark pool of blood on the grey cement floor. Turns out he had gone up to the highest floor, jumped, crashing through the tiled roof of our covered walkway.

HELP! MY MALE BOSS IS BITCHY AND MAKES LIFE DIFFICULT FOR ME AT WORK!

My bitchy boss has been trying to make my life difficult in the office by accusing me of doing things which I have not done. Yesterday was 1 big outburst between us because he had insisted that I had taken a 1-day mc which was not true and can be verified by several colleagues who saw me on that day. If he thinks he's right, he will simply shut off his mind from any explanations. My ex colleagues told me that he had ever shared with them, he just have to be 70% correct and he will insist that he's right though it was proven wrong. I am dreading to go to the office nowadays but I am unable to find an alternative solution till I find a new opening elsewhere.

HARDCORE GAMER: MY LIFE FELT INCOMPLETE AFTER MCDONALDS SCREWED UP MY ORDER

This incident happened last week during SG50's long holiday. Firstly, the delivery was 8 minutes late. If there's one thing I hate, it's being late. It could cost a life in emergency situations. I opened up the box and took out the main course. To my horror and heartbreak, my double quarter pounder was missing a patty. My life felt incomplete. Paying for the right price and receiving something less didn't bother me. I was hungry and I needed it. This really disappointed me.

IT'S DAMN HARD BEING A SINGAPOREAN

It ain’t easy being Singaporean. Your life is run by a series of acronyms like ERP, COE, CPF, PSLE, NS, PMS; you have to endure the relentless tropical heat; you have nothing to read butThe Straits Times; your national culture consists of shopping and whining (I’m nothing if not patriotic); and it’s still considered a crime to strangle Gurmit Singh. You get called names like ‘little red dot’, ‘useless piece of snot’ and even Jacky Chan craps all over you. Let’s face it, when a man who made his living jumping around like a monkey says you have “no self-respect”, well, it ain’t been a good week.
