APOSTLE LAWRENCE KHONG: The greatest fallacy of the LGBT argument

This is the deception I see occurring around the world in regard to morality. If the gay who practises anal sex (which is as strange as sticking the petrol nozzle into a car's exhaust pipe) says "I am born this way, so give me my rights," why can't the pedophile and all those who practise incest, necrophilia and beastiality say the same thing.

MALAY SCHOLAR SHARES THE DIFFICULTY OF BEING A LESBIAN IN SINGAPORE

I’ve been taken by Adrianna Tan’s recent stream of posts about her experience as a gay woman in Singapore, namely The One About Having It All,Dear Gay Teen, and Dear Fundamentalist Christian, not least because localised narratives are so few and far between. Conservative voices would have us believe that the LGBTQ community is disproportionately loud here, but there were definitely too few stories – especially from those who aren’t cis men – when I needed them (and I still do).

LAWRENCE KHONG: BEING GAY IS THE SAME AS A DRUG ADDICT TELLING ME THAT HE CAN’T QUIT!

I hear the same from wife beater, gambler, kleptomaniac, pedophile, homosexual, lesbians, etc. I have them crying profusely in my office about their struggles. They are so genuine, so honest with their feelings, so sincere but SO WRONG. I have to challenge them to act against their own passion. Confront them with their wrong. Help them not to give excuses. Teach them to take personal responsibility and not to blame others. And above all help them to encounter God and His power.

Letter to Today: I am not Lawrence Khong

However, I wish to state clearly that this is not a petition for Christians or Muslims. It is a petition for all who care for Singapore and about the kind of environment that future generations of Singaporeans will grow up in. While I understand most of my petition’s support would come from the religious circles and I totally welcome it, I hope that even non-religious organizations and individuals can sign on this petition as well.

Nazry Bahrawi: Is Singapore truly multi-cultural?

The brochure, which recognises multiple sexual orientations, has come under fire because some believe it “dangerously promotes homosexuality”. Indeed, Singapore’s lived multiculturalism denotes that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) folks cannot be considered a viable minority in the same manner as Malay-Muslims, a category that checks both the race and religion boxes. This is not to say that our version of multiculturalism is the sole cause of the HPB row. There are other motivations behind it, probably the most cited being that the teachings of Christianity and Islam forbid it. But even here, Singapore’s lived multiculturalism falls short.

Magician cum pastor Lawrence Khong says HPB self-pawn govt pro-family policies

We disagree with the claim that moral objection to homosexual behaviour is based on "irrational fear, disgust, or hatred" of homosexuals or bisexuals because they "do not conform to traditional sexual roles and stereotypes". Far from it. Moral objection is based on the intrinsic physiological nature of the male and female bodies. We do not despise homosexuals or hold them in contempt. We esteem them as fellow human beings of intrinsic worth. Each one is precious, deserving respect and love, just like anyone else.

SINGAPOREANS NEED TO BE MORE ACCEPTING OF THE GAY-LESBIAN COMMUNITY

“Omg, that cca is so gay!" I cringed when I heard that in school today. A single line, simple, yet encapsulating of certain disturbing points of view. I needn't quote statistics of our nation's GDP. It's obvious that we're progressing with no signs of slowing down. Yet, how far is this true with regards to the maturity of thoughts and actions of our people?
