WP NCMP LEON PERERA: CRUX IS NOT LEE FAMILY DISPUTE, BUT ABUSE OF POWER!

In a bid to refocus parliament onto proper issues of state and to move away from the Lee family drama, Non-Constituency Member of Parliament Leon Perera reminded those in parliament today that the crux of the debate should not center around 38 Oxley Road house or the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew's last will or even on the affairs of the Lee family.

WP MP LEON PERERA: LEGAL ONLINE GAMBLING WILL TEMPT S’POREANS TO GAMBLE FOR 1ST TIME

I have filed the Parliamentary question below on the government's move to allow online gambling. Those who are currently using illegal online gambling sites may not switch to the two new legal sites, especially if they think they can get better odds on overseas sites. Given this, WP should be aware that it could be seen as having an interest in the outcome of the investigation, and that every effort should be made by WP to avoid the impression that WP is trying to interfere with the investigation.

I had asked for details of the penalties and warnings given: to whom they were awarded and for what action or inaction. The Minister declined to disclose this information and alluded to not wanting to create a culture of blame.
