Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said in his Parliamentary speech that he would not sue his siblings despite them making reckless allegations against him and the integrity of the Government. He said that the allegations did not have any substance and arose from their differing viewpoints over the house at Oxley road. Lee said under other circumstances, he would have sued those who spewed such baseless allegations immediately but by suing his own brother and sister, it would further tarnish and besmirch his parent's names.

He began his speech by stating that he was not out to make his case against his siblings, and that he would try to resolve personal differences privately. However, he would address accusations made against the Singapore government and the charges that he had abused his position of power as Prime Minister.

In his article, Kishore said that the recent Qatar episode holds many lessons for Singapore. "We ignore them at our peril," he said.

Another shocking revelation from Dr Lee Wei Ling on her Facebook! This time, she accuses her eldest brother, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and her sister-in-law, Ho Ching, of trying to build a "Lee family cult"!

Lee Wei Ling is a spoilt brat - yeah maybe. She lives in a cocoon shielded from the harsh reality of the house that her father built - the house that is the Singapore system not 38OR. Yes to that too. But why she is so consumed with this? The rest of us mere mortals have to content with life's uncertainties, faced with risks to well being, financial status, personal and familial stability and unbeknownst as to how we are judged by posterity. The vast majority take these in our stride as lives or fates we had to live with. But the doctor neither face nor had to contend with much of such things.

The PM's lawyer Davinder Singh said then that the words in the piece, in their ordinary meaning and innuendo, alleged that Mr Lee was dishonest and unfit for office. Specifically, Mr Lee said that the article had accused him of being “guilty of corruption, nepotism, criminal conduct, dishonesty, and had advanced the interests of [his] family”. This utterance 11 years ago has now come back to haunt Mr Lee in his current dispute with his siblings. Both Dr Lee Wei Ling and Mr Lee Hsien Yang have not resorted to innuendo – the accusations they level at their brother are direct and plain. The words employed are, or at least should be by PM Lee's own assessment, defamatory of him and the present government. That the PM seems unenthusiastic on the legal front is telling.

PM Lee Hsien Loong has responded to further queries about the continuous allegations against him by his siblings Dr Lee Wei Ling and Mr Lee Hsien Yang. Lee Hsien Loong said that his siblings continue to make allegations about what he supposedly did or did not do. LHL claims that what they said were mostly inaccurate.

I have read lots of articles requesting Mr LHY to join the Opposition. Although it is not entirely impossible, he will most likely not join the opposition because he is the son of Lee Kuan Yew, the man with many enemies in the opposition.
