DPM TEO: WHY IS LHY SO HURT? “THIS IS NOT THE HSIEN YANG I KNEW”

DPM Teo Chee Hean recounted his impressions of the Lee siblings in hopes that they will not accuse the PM just because they are unhappy about having to clarify their father's last wishes. While he said "the Hsien Loong I see now is the same Hsien Loong I have known all these years - an upright person who stands by his principles, and does what is right..." he continued that "the Hsien Yang I see now is not the Hsien Yang I knew". He did not understand why LHY is so consumed by hurt and hopes he will "find peace and solace within himself" in due time. As for Lee Wei Ling, DPM Teo guessed she must have gone through difficult times because of her parents and her own health, and wished for her to have a healthy, long life.

GOH CHOK TONG: PNG ENG HUAT IS SPREADING RUMOURS BY READING LEE SIBLINGS’ FB POSTS

ESM Goh Chok Tong lashed out at Workers' Party's Png Eng Huat in Parliament today for merely reading out quotes from Lee Hsien Yang and Lee Wei Ling's Facebook instead of stating his position on the issue. "Anyone can simply read. That is akin to spreading rumour. As an honourable Member of Parliament, he should state his position on what he has read. That is what we are elected as MPs for - to have a clear view on issues". He invited Low Thia Kiang and other opposition MPs to state their stance clearly regarding PM Lee and the Government's integrity. Nevertheless, he also agreed with them that allegations against the PM are baseless, calculated, and should be stopped.

LOW THIA KHIANG SKEWERS PAP FOR DOUBLE STANDARDS: SIBLINGS CAN’T SUE, POLITICAL OPPONENTS SUE UNTIL PANTS DROP!

Responding to insinuations by ESM Goh Chok Tong that quoting Dr Lee Wei Ling and Lee Hsien Yang's allegation was akin to spreading rumours, WP leader Low Thia Khiang hit back and said it was the PM who welcomed the Opposition to question him vigorously. Low added that since PAP MPs were telling PM Lee to not sue his own siblings because blood was thicker than water, it was seen as a double standards. Own sibling cannot sue? After all we're all brother and sisters? But political opponents ... sue until your pants drop."

LEE SIBLINGS: LHL MISREPRESENTED TO LKY THAT HOUSE WAS ALREADY GAZETTED, DEFIED HIS LAST WISH

Another episode begins. Lee Hsien Yang and Lee Wei Ling have responded to LHL's Parliamentary rebuttal by saying he made "convoluted, but ultimately false, claims about Lee Kuan Yew's wishes". They accused LHL of trying to play with his words in order to show that LKY wanted the house gazetted. "Merely because LKY and we accept that the government has power to gazette the house does not mean that this is something LKY wished for. If the children were unable to achieve demolition, LKY made clear he did not want his house open to the public... Leaving instructions for how to deal with a bad event doesn't imply that you accept or desire the bad event". They insisted that LKY was always skeptical about renovating the house and would have made his views public if he had changed his mind. Furthermore, his "unwavering" wish was also detailed in a settlement agreement which was personally endorsed by LHL. "Is LHL suggesting now that LKY wavered in his unwavering wish?"

OXLEY RD DISPUTE SHOWS DIFFERENT LAWS FOR ELITES, HOW CAN WE “NORMAL PPL” BE CONFIDENT?

Our reader is disappointed by the Oxley Road dispute as it shows double standards in Singapore - one set of laws for the elite, and another for ordinary Singaporeans. LHY and LWL are allowed to cast aspersions at the PM over a course of 2 weeks without facing any legal action while less powerful Singaporeans are subjected to the law of defamation and lawsuit if they do the same. "How do you explain, Mr Tharman, this double standards? You said... 'Have confidence, folks.' Perhaps you should try on the shoes of those who have been sued, bankrupted or gone into exile. As one who supports you being PM, I am disappointed at your nonchalance in this saga."
