MAN ORDERS NASI LEMAK @ KOPITIAM, RUNS AWAY AFTER BEING TOLD IT COSTS $8

According to the reader, he ordered a plate of Nasi Lemak from the Kopitiam at Block 353 Clementi Ave 2. He asked for 1 hotdog, 1 egg and 1 small fish fillet with curry sauce. After serving up the dish for our reader, she told him that his meal cost a whooping total of $8.

TWO KOPITIAM STALLS IN JURONG POINT SUSPENDED FOR COCKROACH INFESTATION

Media reports indicated that two stalls at Kopitiam Jurong Point Shopping Mall have their licences suspended for not meeting criteria for public cleanliness. This also include failure to ensure their stalls are free from cockroaches.

NEA served the notice to the two stalls last week. The names of the two stalls were not released in the media report, apart from saying they are stalls no 10 and 18. Apart from cockroach issues, the stalls also failed to register with the relevant authorities the names of their stalls assistants.

WHY SENGKANG SQUARE KOPITIAM CANNOT MAKE IT? STALLS ALWAYS CLOSED DOWN

The food stalls at Sengkang Square keeps closing down, and when new ones take over they also will not last very long. it was supposed to have been solved by the PAP Town Council in 2015.

Everytime I go there, there is sure one stall that have closed, and sometimes, not even a new stall ready to take over. The people of Sengkang already facing difficulties of finding good makan places nearby, this one Sengkang Square also hard to maintain?

POPULAR STALLS AT CHANGI AIRPORT T2 STAFF CANTEEN LEAVE AFTER KOPITIAM TAKES OVER WITH "UNFAVOURABLE" T&C

Wild Olives, a popular Western food stall at the Changi Airport T2 staff canteen has closed after 12 years of operation.

It is one of the other two stall who have left after Kopitiam took over the managing of the staff canteen.

The other stall is Ngee Kee Fried Hokkien Mee. Both stalls have left even before they found a new place to relocate to. Fans of the stalls are urged to follow them on Facebook to be updated on their relocation plans.

It is understood that under Kopitiam's management, stalls have to contribute a % of their earnings to Kopitiam. The better the business of the stall, the more Kopitiam will earn. The % will increase every 2 years.
