KONG HEE CONVICTED, IS NCC’S JOSEPH PRINCE NEXT?

Before the City Harvest trial, it was a fact even on New Creation Church's website that if u wanted to be a registered church member, one of the criteria u had to meet was to tithe a minimum of 6 months! After the CHC trial, NCC effectively removed such statement from their site and toned down on preaching prosperity. Even its senior pastor, Joseph Prince claimed to stop taking church salary and rely on his book royalties, though he never affirmed nor denied that he earned $50,000 a month. I can assure u that he did, as told by an NCC insider, a family friend, who worked for him 4 years before the fact was exposed.

WHY UNREPENTANT KONG HEE DESERVES A MUCH LONGER JAIL TERM

Everyone including Christians have the right to appeal against any court sentence. In this case, I feel that Kong Hee has the right to appeal if he thinks that he does not deserve the 8 year jail sentence meted to him by the district judge. However, reading his appeal statement truly upset me as he was using the Apostle Paul’s imprisonment case to justify his need to appeal as it seems to be biblical.

PETITION TO REPLACE ADAM LAMBERT WITH SUN HO FOR COUNTDOWN 2016 CONCERT

Following the outrage by some conservative religious people who felt that it was inappropriate for Adam Lambert to headline the 2016 concert organised by Mediacorp at The Float at Marina Bay, some Singaporeans have started another petition for Sun Ho to replace Adam Lambert at the concert. These people believe that Sun Ho is in a better position to represent a "dignified family event" that is not "offensive and potentially divisive" because she embodies values such as family, money, booty-shaking, money, some criminal case, money, God, money, church, and, of course, money. And most importantly, there is no "gay agenda" to turn people and children who watch the performance, gay.

CHC SHOULD REFUND THE MONIES IT CHEATED BACK TO DONORS

With the City Harvest Church trial over, culminating with the conviction and sentencing of the six church leaders, it seems pertinent to ask if former church members and organisations that have donated substantially to the church have any legal recourse for recovering their donations. After all, it is now clear that donations have been misused for purposes different from the donors’ intentions. In the spirit of maintaining public trust and confidence in charities, I hope the Commissioner of Charities can look into this issue and provide an avenue for the former church members and donors to claim back their monies.

FORMER CHC MEMBER: MORE CHURCH LEADERS AND WORKERS HAVE ENRICHED THEMSELVES WITH CHURCH FUNDS

Why is there a need for church leaders and church workers to keep up with the Jones? And bring this to the extreme? No individual gains? Really? You know who you are. Besides the 6 convicted, how many MORE others have conveniently been enriched along the way as CHC grew/ "prospered" through the years (thanks to the generous giving of sacrificial church members)? How sensitive can you get when you're living it up while the majority of the ordinary church members scrimped and saved every penny to give sacrificially to the Arise and Build, building fund tirelessly year after year? Let's put the SGD 50 million aside. How much more of the building fund collected over the past decade has been carelessly and senselessly spent? I shall not name the private birthday parties, personal grooming items, clothes, shoes, properties, and assistants who share our MPs salaries, etc. Should the CPIB also investigate into these church leaders??
