MAN’S ACT OF KINDNESS AFTER ACCIDENT BRINGS MALAY UNCLE TO TEARS

Met with an accident today, rear ended by a Malay uncle driving a Van at a slip road. He came out of the vehicle extremely apologetic, kept shaking his head saying he will be responsible for the damage. As I was reassuring him the damage is not significant, he told me it is to him, especially since it's during the Ramadan period and Hari Raya is coming up. I told him to use the money meant for the repair and put it to good use. Bring his family for a nice meal etc. He cried and hugged me, kept asking me if I am for real.

A kind taxi uncle came across this disabled passenger after he had finished his lunch. He helped the man board his taxi and was on his way to the destination when the passenger told him that he had been waiting for more than 1 hour for willing taxi drivers to pick him up, but to no avail. Saddened by the man's story, he decided to give the man a free ride as a kind gesture to brighten his day.

KIND TAXI DRIVER SENT MOTHER & INJURED TODDLER TO HOSPITAL FOR FREE

However, in her frenzied rush to get her son to the hospital, the young Miss Liu had brought everything but her wallet along with her. She realized this about 5 minutes into the journey and frankly told the driver about her situation. Instead of chasing the 2 out of his taxi, the kind uncle instead continued to console the panicky young mother and her toddler, and drove them to their destination for free.

LOVELY SMRT STAFF “STAR WARS UNCLE” ALWAYS MAKE OUR DAY WITH HIS POSITIVITY

Hi SMRT, I see many complaints mostly on this page and just wanted to brighten up someone's day with this post. My son takes the train at Bishan station to school every morning and he looks forward to the train ride cos he gets to see his favourite friendly MRT Uncle Zainodin! My son calls him Star Wars uncle because of the 'light saber' he carries around. Despite his age, he always squat and give my son a big hug. In the short 2min wait for the train, the two of them will chit chat and sometimes my son will show him his toys or books.

I BOUGHT AN INFLATABLE PILLOW FOR A HOMELESS MAN

It pains me when I saw him sleeping on a hard rock bench using his frail arms as a pillow. We all know that resting on our arms may cause arm pins and needles. Personally I hated that feeling. Insufficient rest and poor living conditions are also detrimental to our health.

KIND BUS CAPTAIN URGE COMMUTERS TO GIVE UP SEAT TO LADY WITH TODDLER

This morning at about 10.15, I took a SMRT bus 859B (Licence plate no SMB 3149 X)at the bus stop opposite Blk 491 Admiralty Link. The driver, a Malay man in his twenties ( I couldn’t get his name)seemed reluctant to continue and kept looking towards the back of the bus. After about a minute of waiting, he walks towards the back and tells a female passenger who is standing to have a seat. The passenger is carrying a toddler. Despite her declining, he politely tries to persuade her to sit down, telling her that it may be uncomfortable and dangerous to stand. This prompts another passenger to persuade others to give up their seats. Someone gives up his seat and the passenger sits down.

I was boarding a Bus this evening and this Indian bus captain was happily greeting commuters on. An elderly macik who was infront of me moved up slowly and wanted to put a note into the coin box for her fares. The bus driver quickly stopped her and ask what she was doing. It was then I realized she wanted to put a $10 note in. She helplessly told the bus driver she does not have any small change on her. To her surprised, the bus driver then looked at her said "Macik, No problem lah, next time dont like that arh" and he asked her to move in.

SMRT TAXI DRIVER SAVED MY DAY WITH HIS KINDNESS & GENEROUSITY

Something good today... Was at Sungei Kadut this morning trying to get a cab to go to Sin Ming.. waited for like 20 minutes and no empty cabs.. Just as I was about to call fora cab, I saw an empty cab and quickly flagged it down. Then I saw the sign that says Woodlands and was immediately disappointed. Instead of driving off, he offered to drive me to the main road (Woodlands Road) and later on decided to drop me at Kranji MRT station so that it is easier for me to take a cab or other public transport. I offered to pay him for the trip when we reached Kranji MRT station, he refused. Just said it's ok.. he is on the way.
