KHAW BOON WAN GETS REFUTED BY HK FACTWIRE NEWS AGENCY

Factwire, a crowdfunded investigative news agency based in Hong Kong, has hit out at Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan’s latest remarks about its expose on Singapore’s "hairline crack" MRT trains, which were secretly returned to China in the middle of the night last week. Khaw said that Singapore was caught in a power struggle between "factions" opposed to China in Hong Kong, an accusation which Factwire has rubbished. Instead, the news agency regrets that a high ranking official such as Khaw is casting blame onto the whistleblowers instead of taking responsibility.

MINISTER KHAW CELEBRATES 100 DAYS WITHOUT MAJOR MRT FAULTS

Yesterday, the North-South Line (NSL) achieved 100 days without any major incident! It joined Downtown Line, which has passed the 178–days’ mark and is working towards its 200-day milestone next month! For us in the rail industry, clearing 100 disruption-free days is no mean feat: it requires everyone to do everything right. Any misstep can cause a disruption.

IN KHAW’S OWN WORDS: WERE VOTERS MISLED BY THE PAP? PAP NEEDS TO COME CLEAN?

Khaw insisted that “the Workers’ Party needs to come clean with the people what information have they got about Mr Yaw and in particular, what did they know about him prior to the May election. And if they know, why did they field Mr Yaw. I think it is sad that the voters have been misled by the Workers Party.” Appears that karma is a bitch and now the PAP is under the microscope. Since the tables have turned and PAP MP David Ong was caught in an illicit affair, shouldn't the PAP also come clean on what they know about David Ong?

TALK KHAW SING SONG: HDB HAS ZERO DEFECTS IN NEW BTO, ONLY SURFACE IMPERFECTIONS

New Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan has taken the art of TKSS, better known as talk-khawk-sing-song, to a higher level when he warned there would be teething issues for Downtown Line 2 after it starts operation this Sunday. HDB has a serious issue with accountability – it completely washes its hands off every project after buyers have paid up. Pasir Ris One and other Design and Build flats speak volumes of HDB’s irresponsible attitude. HDB is not taking flat buyers’ feedback seriously by downplaying defects (hairline cracks, scratches, uneven joints) and redefining them as “surface imperfections”.

KHAW BOON WAN IS THE MAN!

For years, Singaporeans have feedback to the govt about the lawlessness by some road users on Singapore roads. Cyclists have blatant flouted laws, going against traffic when they used the roads and pedestrian paths. E-bicycles have been illegally modified and some users have raced up to 70kmph. Motorcyclists have disobeyed traffic.

TRANSPORT MINISTER KHAW BOON WAN IS SELLING SNAKE OIL

He said recently in a blog post that MRT station shopkeepers should help guide commuters to the right bus stop or right queue during a MRT breakdown. Khaw claims, this would reduce the confusion when another breakdown happens. Already, the minister is preparing Singaporeans for yet another MRT breakdown. But besides that point, doesn't the minister realise that even if commuters are directed to the right bus stop and right queue during a breakdown, the buses and taxis cannot come fast enough! So what if I am in the right queue when I still need 2-3 hours to get to my destination?
